In a prime location just a one-minute walk from Exit 3 of Roppongi Station on the Tokyo Metro Hibiya Line, you will find the “Head Office Building” housing Wine Shop Sommelier, easily identified by its large windows and red awning.

In the basement, Wine Shop Sommelier proudly maintains an underground cellar capable of storing approximately 5,000 bottles. Here, we meticulously recreate the ideal environment for wine storage (constant temperature control at 13–15°C and humidity at 60–70%).

On the first floor, we offer a curated selection of products that only a specialist shop could provide, including: affordable wines, chilled Champagne and sparkling wines, sommelier-selected cheeses, prosciutto, olive oil, and wine glasses, among other gourmet foods and goods beyond the wine itself.

The wine cellar spreading out beneath Roppongi.

In fact, the environmental changes in temperature and humidity caused by Japan’s four seasons are the great enemy of wine.

The wine cellar extending deep beneath Wine Shop Sommelier consistently maintains the same environmental conditions as an underground cave (cellar) at an overseas winery: a constant temperature of 13–15°C and humidity of 60–70%. We have also installed dedicated LED lighting that does not adversely affect the wine. The optimal environment for the wines is automatically controlled by a system.

Even at this very moment, thousands of meticulously managed wines are quietly resting beneath Roppongi, waiting for you.

About Our Affiliated Restaurants

While sourcing wines from around the world, we realized the need to create a “stage” where many of these wines could be truly savored. This vision led us to establish Restaurant Sakura & Marché and Wagyu Steak Kaiseki “Rokka.” The delicious bread and dessert cakes served in our restaurants are also crafted in our own atelier for your enjoyment.

Furthermore, if you wish to drink a wine that is not listed on the restaurant’s wine menu, you are welcome to purchase it from our shop and bring it into the restaurant.

Corkage Fee: ¥2,000 per bottle (If the bottle price is ¥10,000 or more, the corkage fee is 20% of the price.)

Sakura & Marché

さくら&マルシェ
Driven by the desire for our customers to enjoy wine more casually and regularly, we opened this spot—named the “Wine Canteen”—right alongside our wine shop. It’s a relaxed casual Italian restaurant where you can enjoy authentic pizza baked in a striking stone oven (specially custom-made with a pink cherry blossom petal pattern!) prominently situated in the middle of the open kitchen. And of course, since Wine Shop Sommelier is right next door, you can purchase wine to enjoy here as well!

Great News!!

If you enjoy a glass of wine and think, “This is delicious! ♡”—you can simply show your restaurant receipt to the shop staff, and you will receive a 10% discount on your purchase of that wine!

Wagyu Steak Kaiseki “Rikka”

Experience the ultimate expertly-cooked steak, prepared using a stone oven by chefs trained in Grand Maisons (Michelin-starred or high-end restaurants), guided by the keen eye of a veteran meat wholesaler who has selected the finest Wagyu for half a century.

Please enjoy the masterful craftsmanship created from these first-rate ingredients.

ココアンジュ

This is a patisserie specializing in handmade cakes crafted with carefully selected ingredients. We offer not only classic cakes but also a wide variety of seasonal sweets, cakes made with wine, baked goods, and macarons. Additionally, we prepare desserts perfectly suited to conclude a meal at our affiliated restaurants.

L’Atelier du Pain

ラトリエ・デュ・パン

You might be surprised to hear that we have a stone oven bakery right here in Roppongi! Stone oven bread often conjures up images of hidden bakeries deep in the countryside. However, we installed a professional stone oven right on the second floor of our building.

Furthermore, our entire bread-making process follows the “All Scratch Method,” meaning every step—from dough preparation to sale—is completed within this single shop. In other words, everything is handmade! Our boulanger (baker), who trained under the famous Katsuei Shiga of Signifiant Signifié, sources whole grain wheat whenever possible, mills it using an in-house stone mill, and creates the bread using homemade natural yeast.

Wine Shop Sommelier as an Importer

We are not just a wine retailer; we are also an importer that directly sources and imports high-quality, hand-selected wines from producers all over the world.

A bottle of wine travels through various distribution channels from the producer to the customer, and maintaining its quality along the way requires meticulous care. At Wine Shop Sommelier, we leverage our strength as a direct importer, streamlining the complex distribution routes as much as possible. By prioritizing wine-centric management, we have established a system to offer wines of excellent quality and outstanding cost performance. By purchasing wines in large lots and delivering them directly to our customers via the shortest possible route, we significantly cut costs and intermediate margins, striving to pass those savings on to you.

Most of the wines at Wine Shop Sommelier are directly imported and sold by us, straight from producers in wine regions around the globe. From the moment we consider importing a wine, we engage in repeated correspondence with the producer. Starting with phone calls and emails, we sometimes even travel to the site to thoroughly verify whether a winemaker is truly trustworthy. We operate under the belief that “wine is something you consume.” Even if a producer has won famous awards, we will not import their wine if they compromise on quality. After extensive communication and confidence in the producer, all selected wines are blind-tasted by our entire team of certified professional sommeliers, who judge them based on “flavor” and “quality.” Driven by professional pride, we only sell wines that satisfy our own eyes and palates.

What we want to deliver is “a happy life with wine.”

What we, the sommeliers, want to deliver is “a happy life with wine.” We carefully deliver every single bottle with the hope that a rich wine culture will take root here in Japan.

Our Wine Shop Sommelier Roppongi store is located in the “Comprehensive Building for Wine and Food,” just a one-minute walk from Exit 3 of Roppongi Station on the Tokyo Metro Hibiya Line.

Throughout the year, this “Comprehensive Building for Wine and Food” hosts a variety of events: these include wine festivals that draw hundreds of visitors; wine social gatherings that propose ideal pairings (marriages) with seasonal ingredients; and Maker’s Dinners, where we invite world-renowned wine producers to share stories of cultivation and vinification over dinner. We regularly hold events designed for participants to connect and build friendships through wine and food.

Wine Exchange Event for Enjoying Food and Wine Pairings

Each month, we set a specific theme for the event, and we propose the perfect food and wine pairings (marriages) to our guests.
